The form of this lakefront weekend house responds to the active natural topography with a massive curved concrete retaining wall. The new building, fabricated from structural insulated panels, floats on a grid of thin columns that echo the footprint of a small existing house. The roof surface of this original structure is stretched and folded over the addition.
